We get many calls each week from those aspiring to join the field of event planning or project management. Unfortunately, we cannot spend the time it takes to counsel each individual about a career in our line of work. We recommend to everyone that they begin by looking for general experience with non-profits and corporations in meetings and event management and fundraising.
We are always looking for partners who are interested in joining our organization. All Planet Do It partners have a significant, independent client base, a full-time work commitment (minimum 50 hours per week, including all weekends and all holidays), and a willingness to take financial responsibility for receivables.
We do not hire entry-level event planners. We will keep your resume on file for any temporary, part-time positions that become available on a project by project basis. Our staff persons have a variety of background experience. Our hiring criteria includes evidence of considerable leadership ability, strong people and organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to work independently.
